“Graves” was created as a reflection of redemption the quiet but powerful truth that God brings life out of what once felt lost. This piece was deeply inspired by the song Graves Into Gardens, a reminder that no place is too broken, no season too heavy, for His transformation.
The layered strokes and movement throughout the painting represent the tension between sorrow and hope the places where we’ve laid things down, grieved, or let go. The darker tones hold that weight, while the lighter, sweeping textures speak to renewal, grace, and the promise of something new being born.
Hidden within the composition is a cross, grounding the piece in the truth that every transformation begins there. What once felt like an ending can become the very place God begins again.
This painting is personal to me it’s about trusting that even in the hardest seasons, God is still working, still restoring, and still turning graves into gardens in ways only He can.
